Bringing people together through art and culture.

about us

Creative Tides Arts Collective is a not-for-profit arts organization based on Wolfe Island, Ontario. We create and present arts and cultural experiences that bring artists and audiences together, with programming that draws from Wolfe Island, Kingston and beyond.

Our work includes Skylla and the Wolfe Island Holiday Village, alongside new projects and collaborations as Creative Tides continues to grow.

We believe in the value of gathering, experiencing art together, and creating space for artists and ideas to be seen, shared and explored.

We envision a Wolfe Island where arts and culture continue to thrive, where artists are supported and encouraged to explore new ideas, and where people have opportunities to experience art in ways that are engaging, unexpected and memorable.

Creative Tides wants to contribute to a strong and evolving creative community on the island while building connections with artists, audiences and communities in Kingston and beyond. We see a future with more opportunities to create, collaborate, gather and experience the arts together.

our values

Our values guide how we develop our programming, work with artists and partners, and contribute to the communities we are part of.

land acknowledgement

Creative Tides Arts Collective is based on Wolfe Island, traditionally known as Kawehnóhkwes tsi kawè:note, Long Island Standing.

We acknowledge that the island and surrounding waters are part of the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek Peoples, who have lived, travelled, gathered and cared for these lands and waters since long before the arrival of settlers.

As an arts organization that brings people together on Wolfe Island, we recognize the responsibility that comes with creating and gathering here. We are committed to continuing to learn about the history of this place, to listening to Indigenous voices, and to building relationships with respect and care.
